Music Institute of North Texas – Frisco, Texas

Project consists of a single story 4,500-square-foot new facility to house private and group music classes. Included are dividable assembly areas to accommodate larger audiences for recitals, along with piano, keyboard, ensemble classrooms and computer lab.

Services provided on this project included programming through construction administration with final observations of construction.

Mechanical:

The mechanical systems utilized direct expansion split systems with ducted outdoor air and return air. Care was taken to keep duct velocities low to minimize air noise within the space to not adversely effect the specialized acoustics as required for this type of a classroom/teaching environment.

Plumbing:

The plumbing design included new toilets, breakroom and integrated roof drainage to the storm water system. Additionally, the site surrounding required extensive landscape design for native vegetation and an irrigation system.

Utilities:

The design effort included coordination of water, gas, sewer, telephone, and power utilities for the building.
