Clark Bakery Renovations – University of North Texas, Denton, Texas

This project was the beginning of a two phase effort to renovate and expand the existing bakery services to the University and students. The existing bakery was too small to accommodate the new updated equipment the chef needed to support new food lines to includes ice cream products, chocolate and expanded bread options. Elements worked directly with the chef and Facilities to develop what processes would support these lines. Developing flow charts and space analysis, Elements developed schematic layouts that aligned with the chefs needs once an assessment of the existing expansion area was completed. Because the first phase needed to be constructed as soon as possible, we worked closely with the University to keep the bakery operational while the new lines were implemented. Phase 1 was the first initial step while Phase 2 would bring the remaining area online.
