WorldCom Little Rock Switch Facility – Little Rock, Arkansas
This project includes 19,000 square feet of raised floor environment, 600 square feet of electrical and infrastructure lifeline support, and administrative space of an additional 2,100 square feet, of which 1,600 square feet is located on the raised floor area.
The design was based on a grid layout of 40 feet for maximum efficiencies in the reinforced concrete structure which served to provide a true hardened shell facility. The site proposed many challenges with this project due to the triangular space of the site, the amount of square footage that was required and the drastic elevation changes of the land.
